What is Rectified Porcelain?

To create rectified tiles, manufacturers use an additional step of precision-cutting the tiles after initial firing. This involves cutting each tile to the same dimensions. The edges are also ground to create near-perfect 90-degree angles.

This allows you to have smaller joints and to make installing tile more straightforward since you don't have to.keep making adjustments to your layout.

What is DCOF (Dynamic Coefficient of Friction)?

DCOF

The Dynamic Coefficent of Friction, or DCOF, is a ranking by tile industry standards for non-slip characteristics of tile. It represents how much force is required to start two stationary surfaces (the pavers or tile and your feet) moving against each other. The minimum DCOF for porcelain pavers is >0.42 - the higher the better resulting in a safe non-slip surface.

Natural stone can have a high DCOF, but if it is polished that slip-resistance goes away and the surface become slippery. The same goes for some interior porcelain floor tile. Outdoor pavers are non-slip so they are suitable for use in your landscaping - for a pool deck, a deck, a patio, an outdoor kitchen, a pathway, or any other area you would like to be level, easy to maintain, and beautiful.
